A Bit About Juliana Kaplan

As a recent graduate of Barnard College, my writing has been wholeheartedly centered on examining how our lives are impacted by the media and culture surrounding us. I'm continually intrigued by the entertainment we love to consume, and why we love to consume it. As a queer woman, and a millennial, I've grown up within an Internet culture that is alternately terrifying, empowering, and just plain silly. I want to write about all of it.

Professionally, I've worked as an editorial intern at Cosmopolitan Magazine, The Forward, Betches Media, Boston Magazine, and O, the Oprah Magazine. I have bylines in all of these publications.
